Young Ted. Young Jimmy. And….Eric?

This post was updated on .
His first big hit.
Didn’t even know what the song was about.
Quit the Amboy Dukes when he found out the song
was about tripping on LSD.

Take no prisoners Ted.😄

Great picks, Grado!  Tender Ted with the Amboy Dukes was awesome. I think he left that group because they did drugs and he didn't. I read recently that when he was with the Damn Yankies that they had to arrange their schedule around Ted's hunting schedule!

Jimmy Page sure was skinny whilst in the Yardbirds. What a band.

All I could think about during the Cream song was Eric's afro. Wow.

Make sure you are in "This Weeks Vids..." before you pick the "New Topic" button. Looks like you are posting under the "Music vid of the week" heading.  Also, only an admin can move posts to a different heading which is not a big deal so no worries.

My first concert. Amboy Dukes at Michigan Palace 1973.

Got pulled over on 8 Mile on the way home, and the driver's brother (John Sterling) had 100 hits of acid in the glovebox. Cops didn't find the acid but were kind enough to simply make us dump out the remaining 11 beers in the case in the back seat.

Great show regardless. Thanks for more memories Grado.

Wow, so Ted didn't know the song was about drugs? I guess the other guys knew better than to tell him but he obviously found out and then, bye bye sum biches.

Ted did pretty well on his own and I've never heard anything else from the Ambo dukes so it wasn't a bad move.

Great story, Seymouro, those were the good ol' days when drinking and driving wasn't such a big deal. Was it because we took pride in our driving skills while under the influence and therefore less drunk related deaths? No seatbelts either.
