Man Grado, that's a great pick. Supertramp was a GREAT band that, at least IMO, got too commercial a couple years after this one came out. I LOVE the break at around the 3 minute mark that turns into an instrumental buildup at the 4 minute mark. Great stuff!
Crisis What Crisis.
Ya, that’s a good album. A few good ones on there.
One of my favorite album jackets also.
I tell you Mark, that one, and quite a few others I kind of owe to a late friend, Doug Clark. I lived with him and 2 other guys just outside of Annapolis for a year.
Huge old stone mansion, back in the woods.
We were all in our early 30s, all single, and the party rarely quit. God, the women we went thru.
It was Doug that preached we never listened just one side of an album. A lot of my favorites came from that year, along with the practice he instilled in us.
An obscure closing track off a B side sometimes just grabs you.
Unfortunately, Doug didn’t make it out of that one.
Killed after fighting with friend, he wrapped his truck around a tree at 3am. Half drunk, testosterone and adrenaline off the scale, out lease was up in 2 weeks and we were all going our separate ways.
End of an era in my journey. For sure.
Hey….here’s another, this one goes out to
the guy that listened to……both sides.
Yo, Doug, you listening?
