Yeah, the Outlaws were a great southern rock band in there day. Too bad they disapeared after their heayday in the 80's. They, much like Skynrd, lost members one way or another and lost all the mojo as a result. Can't say that about the Allman Bro's tho because they still got it. They lost it for a while when Greg had his own thing but then re-formed the Bro's and got it back together. Replaced Duane with Warren Haynes and then added Derek Trucks after Dicky left (I think that's how it went). Anyhoo, the Allman Bro's are STILL a force to reckon with as witnessed by this video recorded in 2009 of one af their later songs that definitely has the old Bro's mojo.
Thanks Seymouro! I had completely forgotten about The Outlaws! I just noticed that their music library is on emusic.com & need to use 15 downloads this month. Hopefully, that will be enough to download all of their best....???
Good one, Mark! Yes, the Allman Brothers has always been my favorite southern rock/blues band, but now I am looking forward to getting re-acquainted with The Outlaws!
Glad you enjoyed it Big Jer. They are an all-time favorite. Mark and I saw them at Royal Oak around '76, Molly Hatchet was the lead act (if you can believe it...)!
