I have "Mixed Emotions" (sorry Mick and Keith) with regard to the Martin Scorsese's production of the Stones' tour that he titled "Shine a Light" in honor of the great tune from Exile on Main Street.
I hated the new P.C. versions of "Some Girls" (title track from the album YES! ALBUM! not CD! The vinyl was an
album, just as the CD was!), because the part about "black girls" was edited out. And the same with "Shattered"...no "I'm getting battered, spillin' all over Manhattan", cut out. The Stones NEVER put up with lyric editing dating back to old appearances on "Ed Sullivan".
WHY NOW!!!
Or did Mick just forget the missing verses? Doubt it.
Here are my top cuts from the "Biggest Bangs" they created. Most are not the top radio played hits...
Lead off with Let it Bleed. I picked the title song over "Monkey Man" only because I liked this one with help from Dave Matthews...
Let It Bleed...
