Seeing that the DJF is this weekend I thought that I would post something by Stanley. I've never seen him but hopefully this weekend I'll get the chance. Here he is getting it done in fine fashion:

Wow. Stanley can play some bass. I think I still have this on vinyl. He was scheduled to play at the Jazz Fest a few years ago but got rained out. I waited for hours hoping the rain would pass and it did but Stanley canceled anyway and lots of folks were disappointed. I'm going to try again this year.

I saw Stanley with Mark at Masonic.

Wow, he was smoking. So much so, that his fingers were literally bleeding. Around 1980. Would love to see him perform again.

Just a follow up... I guess Stanley is not meant to play at the
DJF because he was rained out AGAIN this year so another wasted trip for us.
