Robert Plant "Little by Little"

Seymouro
The local Podunk rock station WQLF strikes again. They put this one on yesterday. Would never hear it on 97.1 "The Drive" in Chicago, nor WCSX. Those stations boast about their huge musical "library", then never utilize 98% of it.

Shortly after the breakup of Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Page was so strung out on smack that he could barely play a note.

Meanwhile, Robert Plant was putting out quality material as a solo artist with "Principle of Moments" in 1983 and better yet, "Shaken and Stirred" two years later. This is my favorite Plant solo work.

don't forget about the Honeydrippers - even though he dropped out of that band because he thought it would ruin his rep.  I thought they were pretty excellent.

"Honeydrippers" was cool Walter.

It all beats crap out of Page and "The Firm" and the smack.

For sure. Page may have been a driving force during the Zep years but seems he burned out and Plant kept going. Would be interesting to learn the actual story of how things went down. Saw Plant on TV recently and he was very good. Can't hit some of the high notes but I was impressed.

Yes, Plant still rocks. I don't think Zep ever got a grammy either. I think Plant got one for the song he did with Allison Krouse a few years back. Something like that.

Yeah, and as much as I like Gretta Van Fleet they need to fess up to the fact that Zep was a major influence.

They don't give them any credit? They should.

Sounds like Zeppelin not giving any credit to Willie Dixon, who wrote "You Need Love" for Muddy Waters to perform. See the similarities? Outright lift...Should have at least put him in as a co-writer.

This is even more damning.

"Dazed and Confused" was the most flagrant IMO. Complete ripoff and denial even though they worked with the guy who wrote and recorded it first. I guess I don't feel so bad for GVF not giving Zep credit.
