Porcupine Tree - Even Less

Porcupine Tree has been my favorite Prog-Rock band since I dicovered them on Pandora around two years ago. This song is the same one that automatically starts playing on the home page of the website. It's so cool I've left it on there since the first day of the site's development. PT has many great songs although you won't find a whole lot on youtube.

Enjoy!!!

Excellent video, Mark!  I have also been a fan of theirs for some time now.  Here is a great jam featuring some really great guitar & drum work:

Hatesong

...and my mellow favorite:

Oh yeah, both of those are great. Hatesong really rocks. I just love these guys and think that they are picking up where the older Prog Rock bands left off. I still love the old stuff but this is modern and new. I like the fact that they have a great range of music, unlike some newer bands that have one basic sound.

Wow!

You guys really have caught "Lightning in a Bottle" here!

This band absolutely kicks the living ... out of it!

Love them!

Thanks!

I've been listening to a PT CD that Paul gave me the other day called "In Absentia" . I've been playing it on my way to work and it's A W E S O M E. My morning drive has been quite delightful listening to these guys and several songs I've never heard before. I generally don't have the radio too loud early in the AM but the past few it's been cranked as loud as it will go before distorting.

Thanks, Paul

Very cool tune, nice quality vid too...that's not a prerequisite to enjoying but always a nice plus.  His slide tool is interesting too.

FYI, we rented a live concert DVD called "Arriving Somewhere" by Porcupine Tree from Netflix and watched it over the weekend. Man, these guys are just awesome. Their live sound has a bit more of o metal edge to it for the most part but the musicianship is top notch. This concert, which was taped in Chicago, really shows how great not only Steven Wilson is but how excellent the drummer and bass player are. We actually had to wait several weeks to get it because it was on backorder.

YES!!! That's an EXCELLENT one from the Netfix video the we watched. Denise and I both LOVED it and we both thought that it reminded us of Pink Floyd. No big surprise there since PT lists PF as an influence.

When they go into the break they sound like Dream Theater, then back to the Floyd sound. Awesome.

This is a great song and was totally worth watching again. Thanks, Jer.
