You got this from a what is probably a very good compilation of Robin's best Grado. The original album the song appeared on was Bridge of Sighs. It is everything you could expect and more from any album. Not a filler cut to be had.
This and "Fool And Me" got some deserved air play.
Ya…..Bridge of Sighs.
I’ve still got it squirreled away in a chest with a bunch of vinyl albums from back then.
Thing is/was, after 45s, but kinda before CDs, it was vinyl albums or cassettes.
And you’d hear a killer song on some FM station, only to find you’d have to buy the album if you wanted to hear that song at will.
Many a time there was only one or 2 good songs, and the rest was crap.
But, there are a few that were chock full of really good songs.
Ten Years After. The first Bad Company. Supertramp had crisis what crisis, that whole slab is good. AC DC, same.
Cream had Desrali Gears. Clapton 461 Ocean Blvd, that whole album is good. Albums that had one pop hit that everyone knew, but hid gems front and back.
Nils Lofgren, The Fat Man is a great album if you can find it, but the masses usually only know the hit White Lies. M
And included in that list, imho, Bridge of Sighs, for sure.
The single, sure, many have heard it.
But that whole thing is good.
