When you hear the name Lindsey Buckingham what's the first thought that enters your mind?
If you're most people, and you actually know who he is, your first thought most likely would be singer/songwriter/guitarist for Fleetwood Mac... and you'd be correct but what many don't realize is that Lindsey is a
GREAT guitar player and master finger picker.
Lindsey has done well for himself but is underrated as a guitarist. I've never heard his name come up on any list of great or infuential guitar players of all time. Maybe it's because he never tried to be the "star" of the band and thought about the greater whole. And thinking about Fleetwood Mac, there really was no one lead singer because Buckingham, Nicks and Christine McVey all sang lead and somehow made that work which says a lot about keeping ther egos in check.
Check out this solo vid of Lindsey playing "Big Love." This guy really puts his heart into what he plays and this tune really shows it (looks great in HQ).
Enjoy!
