Highlight of the Stones' show

Seymouro
The band put to a vote the choice for the final song to be played at their show we saw in Minneapolis. It was not played last, but it was indeed played.

A) Waiting on a Friend B) Monkey Man C) All Down The Line and D) Respectable

And to my delight, my vote won.

MONKEY MAN!

Rare to see a deep track played. Never heard it on anything but Sirius XM radio. Includes perhaps my favorite lyric they ever wrote...

"Well I hope we're not too messianic, or a trifle too satanic...we love to play the blues!"

I will furnish a Google Drive link to my recording of it live. The audio is good, but I am disappointed that I could not turn the damn thing 90 degrees because it is sideways. First the original studio job-

And my recording.

I tried the second link but says I don't have access to your drive.

Here's a vid of the boys doing it live in 2003:

Excellent.

Here it is, shared on You Tube. The video's not all that but you can hear it. The one you put up is better.

Ha ha, that's pure gold right there... and why it's my all time favorite Stones tune.

Wow, I never knew the words. How cool is that. The Stones rock plain and simple and what a career they've had. Who could imagine how long some of these rock bands would be around.

It's great that you got to hear them play MM live. I haven't heard it on the radio in a long time but they used to play it back when terrestrial radio was still good. The playlists they use now are extremely limited.
