Hackney Diamonds

Seymouro
This is the best album they have made in fifty years. It dropped and I thought, yeah it will probably be interesting but likely nothing special.

I put it just behind the quadruple treats Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers and Exile On Main Street.

Live By the Sword, Whole Wide World and Bite My Head Off (with Sir Paul McCartney on bass) are just great. I have to include the ballad "Dreamy Skies" to close. It's a fantasy.

And the one with Lady Gaga on vocals and Stevie Wonder on piano (Sweet Sounds of Heaven) is bloody good too. Not a bad cut on the whole thing and these guys are mainly like 80 years old.

I started listening to the first song "Live by the sword" and thought it was ok until the break came at the 1:25 mark at which point I sat up in my chair and went WTF is this? Oh my gorsh what a glorious sound and loved it the rest of the way through. After the second song I had to use Wiki to find out who the guitar players were because I didn't think Keith and Ron could still rock that hard. The answer is yes they can because they are the only guitar players in the credits and that's bada$$ man. It's cool that Charlie and Bill were on a song each as well as other well known folks (Paul, Gaga, Elton and Detroit's own Don Was to name a few).

The las song is special because I've always loved how the Stones play their country hickish style like "Country Honk" and others. I need s to listen to the entire thing first chance I get.

Bloody good mate!

Wow man, I knew that Mic and the boyz had a new record but I have not heard any songs until now. Sounds great to me and those old men still have lots of gas in the tank! Good for them.

Haha, with all of the country songs they've done you'd think they'd be recognized by the CMA!

Oh would that be cool to see Mick and the boys at the CMA's. What's funny and IMO, modern country now is what rock used to be. Marshall amps and Les Paul guitars, Long hair, reverse baseball caps and tattoos. I see country guys using gear that Kiss used for craps sake. I think the Stone might be more country than country is now

I am a life-long Stone fan so it's great to see the boys still going, and strong I might add.

People have asked if I like country music. I respond "yes".
So then they ask who are my favorite country artists and i tell them the Stones and Neil Young.
