Gary Mansueto's 8 Track Collection Part One

Seymouro
This post was updated on .
Gary M was playing this in his 8 track when he took me for a spin in his 1970 (71?) GTO Judge.

Pinned my head back to the head restraint and he had a Cheshire cat grin on his face.

Great memory. Pick any cut you like. Legendary.

Did you know?-

“Ten Years After” is believed to be a nod to Elvis Presley because the year they changed their name was 10 years after the icon's most successful year: 1956. For Presley, that was the year he released his first single, earned his first No. 1 hit, and made his film debut.

Never heard the Elvis thing.
But I believe E was a big, big influence on a lot of those big fish back then.

I tell you guys, that album, if not the, well one of the best.
Every song is good.
I’ve still got the copy I bought  almost half a century ago.

Here’s another selection, really good advice on, well, just living.
Good times, not so good times, we’ve all had ‘em.
and, well…..,
I’ve been there too.

Jingles
All I know is that Ten Years After were great and I loved many of their songs. I thought Alvin Lee was a great guitar player and singer.

And they were at Woodstock which gives them instant music cred for their performance there.
