The Beatles and Simon and Garfunkle were obviously freakin awesome but I totally forgot about Bend Me Shape Me which is an excellent 60's song that, even though I haven't heard it in many many years, I was able to sing along with it. Love the horns in that tune!!!

Yeah, right, that bend me shape me tune was a hit way back when and is one of those songs that was left behind long ago. Would be an interesting topic... songs that were hits and basically forgotten about. Good tunes though, not the bubblegum crap like the Archies. I'm embarrassed that I even just remembered that band. When I get bored I might do some investigating. Obviously there has been some of that on in this forum but not a dedicated topic.
