Temptations- Another Stones influence performing in same era

Seymouro
Lot of great Motown artists.

All dwarfed by the mighty "Temps" (imo).

Wow. Eddie Kendricks, Dennis Edwards and later David Ruffin all in one red hot black Detroit based R&B band!

Norman Whitfield writing and producing. Sorry Michael Jackson. Only real competition comes from another immortal - Stevie Wonder.

The Stones did covers of "Ain't Too Proud to Beg" on It's Only Rock and Roll and the topper "Just My Imagination" from Some Girls.

Here are my favorites by the Temptations.

You GOTTA play them all...

Cloud Nine.

Wow, that's a lot of viewing/listening material.

The first one is from a movie about the Temp's so it's actually actors in the vid but I believe the soundtrack is a Temp's recording. I saw the movie a couple times on TV.

I liked the Ball of Confusion vid the best. Great song and the vid was well shot.

The Temp's along with many other Motown groups were played quite a bit on CKLW back in the day so I heard a good bit of it. Yeah, when I think back the AM radio top 40 wasn't a bad thing.

I'm surprised no motown bands made it to Big Jer's Detroit bands thread.
