The Beatles...what a wealth of talent...all due respect to the Rolling Stones, The Who, Pink Floyd, U2,
U name it......
Ringo Starr benefited from the Beatles mantra of "
everybody sings", and, as a result, has amassed an impressive solo career since the break-up of
Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. Incredibly, I feel that he has a GREAT voice and style.
Let me remove any doubts. I'll start with "Beaucoups of Blues" from 1970. His first effort after the break-up. This is actually country music. EMI, in an ongoing contractual dispute, blocked all other cuts from the album in the USA on YouTube. That's OK, this will do. Further on up the road, Ringo received a lot of help from George Harrison and Badfinger, but this first clip is just Ringo.
Now, before we begin, (and I love the Stones)...imagine
Charlie Watts coming up with any of this...

Dad jammed as much as I did! What a father-son match! Thanks for producing this one G. Harrison!

"It Don't Come Easy"...grammatical error, Ringo. Should be "It Doesn't Come Easy"...forgiven! Huge Badfinger contribution...Maybe my favorite...
