QUEEN...and Sir Brian May

Seymouro
First off, "Another One Bites the Dust". Great dynamics here, fun with a very simple tool, the "volume" pedal (or control)! Freddie M was unreal with that band, but IMO, Brian May (lead guitarist, what a surprise) steals the show, every time.

What I remember about "Another One", is that the Lions had just drafted Billy Sims (all-world RB from Oklahoma) after going 2-14. They started 1982 at 4-0, and Jimmy Allen (defensive back, acquired from the Steelers) adopted this as the team song. It backfired, and became "Another One Beats Our Butts", as the team wound up 9-7, and out of the playoffs. Great number though...

Much better work IMO was Queen II and moreover "Sheer Heart Attack", in 1974... NOT "Night at the Opera", or "News of the World"...no sir...

"Whoa whoa la la la whoa"

Now that's cool.

The Stone Cold Crazy  link didn't work for me so I dug this up:

Shear Heart Attack was my favorite album, "Now I'm here" has always been my favorite Queen song and really needs to be listened to with headphones to appreciate the back and forth stereo.

"Down in the dungeon just Peaches & me"   Great stuff.

Very original band that definitely broke new ground with their operatic style, vocal harmonies and Brian's violin sounding guitar. I remember being in awe when I first heard Queen and that big sound they got.

Excellent video of Stone Cold Crazy!

Interesting that we both agree on not only their best album, but favorite song!

Now I'm Here...legendary!
