Pulp - Bad Cover Version

Interesting impersonator-themed video from Pulp. It ties into the literal idea of a “bad cover version,” and the impersonators are convincing enough that the first time you watch, you wonder how you never heard about all these stars collaborating on the new Pulp single — and how on earth they managed to bring Kurt Cobain back from the dead.

LOL!!! It took me a minute to realize what this was. I thought it was really Elton in the first scene and then I heard the Bowie guy and figured it out. Not only did the imitators sound much like the real thing but many looked like it too. I LOVED the cher bit when they used the vocoder on her voice like she did on that one song she did. The Tom Jones was funny and the Jagger was really good.

How in the world did you come across this vid and who is Pulp anyway???

Mark, I don't remember now, but it was a link to 10 of the best hardly ever seen music videos. I thought this one stood out as worthy to share. I also shared an artsy one with Paul that reminded me of some of his art.

Glad you enjoyed it! I agree, they sounded AND looked a lot like the real artists.
