From Detroit. Remember seeing it on Robin Seymour's "Swingin' Time"...about 8,9 years old. And then boppin to it on my old beat up Webcor record player that dad brought home as a shop reclamation project. Or on Keener 13.

Wow, you're going way back. I still remember being at my cousin's house when I was around that age and they were listening to WKNR and I had never heard of it. That's because I only ever had my little transistor radio tuned to CKLW but that changed because it left such an impression on my young brain. This is what was playing:

Just a few years before my time but I am aware of that old stuff and it is quite interesting. The Ventures are definitely very cool.

Yeah, the ventures are definitely cool. Look at those old Fender amps they had! What are they?
