OK, big props to the poster on this one.... WOW. John with the double-neck guitar trading licks with Jan, and Billy in classic form on the drums? Ultra cool. I don't know who the bass player was but that is Jerry Goodman on the fiddle. Loved it.

Man, one of THE GREAT fusion bands of all time. Was Mahavishnu the first? If not who started the whole rock/jazz fusion thing? There were a few going early on but I don't know the timelines. Let's see, there was Return to Forever and I think Tull should be in there even though they were more of a medieval/rock sort of a thing. Who else? Great post.
