Juke Box Music - The KINKS

Seymouro
Latest in the edition of rockers from GREAT Britain (the land of my forefathers) who regularly threw the switch that lit up the rock and roll world.

The Kinks, from Sleepwalker, perform "Juke Box Music" live from London, on the BBC's "Old Grey Whistle Test", an iconic rock and roll show in England.

Lead guitarist Ray Davies is wearing a cap featuring a picture of a pig wearing headphones. This was the logo in the late 1970's of the great Detroit radio station WABX!

Ah yes, the Kinks... a fine Brittish band, mate. Interesting to see Ray and Dave together, I never realized how much they look and sound alike... at least back then. This is a great vid of the Kinks. I wonder what's up with the cap? I wonder if he got it while in the D?

Was always a fan of the Kinks, but liked their early tunes just a bit more. I thought it would be futile, but I actually found a LIVE B/W video of them performing 'You Really Got Me'...

Speaking of hats, I didn't know that chefs hats were in style back then (hint: one of the dancers)

That song was just so rockin' he had to come out of the kitchen and get down. Jemima was pissed but what could she do? The band was wearing frilly shirts and having a rave-up.
ahhhh......rock'n'roll........ya gotta love it.

Good one, Jer. As many times as I've heard it I think that's my favorite Kink's song.

This vid really shows the classic English "gap" between Ray's two front teeth
