WHO you're all thinking...is Josh Pyke?  Never heard of this Aussie before today.  I was searching for a unique image for a separate purpose, and it eventually led to this.  Ok...the song is not bad, actually kinda nice.  But the video is priceless.  I only wish Dean was online these days to see this.  Mark...perhaps you can show him next time he comes over...since this blends 2 of his favorite things together very nicely...music...and boating...

Yep, I'm sure Dean would enjoy both the song and the guitar boat.

I'm trying to remember what song from the 70's this reminds me of but my CRS is preventing me from recalling what it is. Similar sort of song with the same kind of whimsical slide guitar. "Sister Golden Hair" by America comes to mind but I think there's another one.

Anyhoo, the boat is way cool and well done. Looks just like a large scale acoustic motoring through the water.

There's no vid for this one but check out this Les Paul sail boat. Ha!

I love the part where he drops the gigantic pick into the hole as I've done a thousand times...DOH.

The funny thing is that the sound hole is the entrance to the cutty which is way off scale. At the beginnig you see him in it but later you can see that the actual size is much smaller when the pick falls in there.

That's good stuff.

The sail boat has a nice flame maple top. Somebody did a nice photoshop on that one to create the mast.
