Grin

Seymouro put up the Stones thing, and it kinda flipped a switch in me head.

Nils Lofgren was another guy that was known around DC.
He did a lot of work with Neil Young, and later on with Bruce Springsteen.

But, contrary to what the masses apparently thought, one believes his best stuff, was with his own band, Grin, which he formed at a really early age, before any of them had made it.

The Fat Man, some call it The Cracker Barrel album, most every song is killer.  His cover of Carol Kings "Going Back", second to none.  White Lies, was I think his biggest single. But it was this one, a plea to Keith Richards to not return to Canada, to face drug charges and possible imprisonment, that Seymour's thread clicked. If you listen, yes, that's Keith's riff
off Satisfaction.

And really, one mans favorite.  Always wondered if he needed a cough drop or 2 after this one.

Ill close this one out with an interview with the man himself.
The other interviews, some quite long, give a pretty good look at the behind the scenes at those times.

Hey......everybody has a Chuck Berry story.....

GREAT tune. I remember it but it's been a looooong time. I never knew it was about Keith Richards so it's interesting to learn that after all this time.

Haha, in reality he probably had a smoke and shot of jack (in the spirit of Keef).

The interview was cool and he sounds like a good guy giving homage to the guys that influenced him.

I haven't even heard his name in years so hearing songs was fantastic. I never realized how much he got around and I didn't even know he played with Neil Young. Is he still in the E Street band? Are those guys still active at all?

That's a great question, Bob, and one I can't answer so I think it's time for Mr Google.

Mr Google said the E St Band put out an album a year ago but there are no concert dates... I'm guessing becasue of covid? Also shows Nils as still in the band.
