Over the past 10 years we have seen many music "distribution" websites come online, and most have also left. Napster, the first website focused on media file downloads, is still around, but no way near what it originally was. Taking this up to last week, the award-winning music service that’s taken Europe by storm has now come to U.S. shores. Millions of tracks ready to play instantly, on your computer and your phone. FREE.
This one is here to stay, as far as all reports indicate. Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook says it is so cool. LA Times, Wired Magazine, and Time Magazine all have similar praises. Yes this is THE one. So- will you try it? Do you want to be able to play over 18 million songs free, with software that- dare I say (as a iTunes user) has a superior player and library than Apple, Nullsoft, bsplayer, Spinner, or even Pandora? Well you can't. Not yet, because you have to be one of the first 28,000 "invited". Give it a try, you may still make it because not many here in the US know about it. But we are devotees- we need to find those obscure tunes this generation may never know- and we want to do it now. So here you go- a workaround. A fair disclaimer- I don't know how long this shortcut will work, so act fast. Or, just wait until it has been made available to the general public.
Go to klout.com , go to the "Perks" area. You have to sign up for Klout, using Facebook or Twitter. I prefer not to share my information, or your information, as is typical of those third party groups that raid all of your personal information AND ALL OF YOUR "FRIENDS" information from your account, so I did not sign up. I will however, wait for Spotify to respond to my invite request, or wait until they allow access in due time. It appears to be a promising new source for Music lovers.
