Dream Theater - Octavarium (piano version) - part 1

Mark Ranich
A friend of my son posted this video on his Facebook wall and after viewing it (it's long at over 9 minutes) I wanted your opinions.

This is a piano interpretation of Dream Theater's "Octavarium" by a young Czech pianist and composer, Michael Worek:

Michael Worek rocks.

Too bad the ending got chopped because he was really getting intense as he was bringing it to a close. No sheet music which means he had all of that content committed to memory.

That was really cool, thanks.

On an unrelated note:  to any one reading this, read the post under the "General topics" heading about restoring your avitar.

A realy good performance. You know I've been a fan of Dream Theater for sometime now and i've never seen that kind of an interpretation. Thanks.  It is unfortunate that it got chopped like that though while he was cooking at the end there it reminded me of this Genesis song(Firth of Fifth), whose introduction is played splendidly by this anonymous pianist.

for you who know this song...............is this not spot-on???
