Bowie Rules!

Seymouro
David Bowie should have come up quite a while ago on this site.

The first video may be my favorite EVER..."China Girl"...this is simply incredible! This is so sensual and smoking hot! The "Let's Dance" album blows away everything he ever did anyway, thanks to the immortal and late, great Stevie Ray Vaughn!

These are not far behind.

What a talent (and egotist but why pick...).

This recent version of "Heroes" is simply incomparable. Recorded in Berlin 2002.

I could go on and on, but I will close with "Five Years" . This video is from 1972 and just listen! From the "Old Grey Whistle Test", it is so true to the recorded version that it's unreal!

YES!  Very cool indeed. Bowie is another one of those artists that has a deep library of material to pick from and from over a long period of time. One of my favorite iterations is when the young SRV was in the band because he was so distinctive. As soon as Stevie played a chord you imediately knew it was him. Mick Ronson was another awesome Bowie guitar player.

Speaking of "Heroes" how about "Working Class Hero" by Tin Machine? The Tin Machine stuff seems to have fallen off the map but I still liked a good bit of it. An interesting component to that band was the Sales brothers who were Soupy's sons on bass and drums. Maybe a bit radical for some and maybe ahead of their time but check this out:
