Liane and I have tickets for the final Black Sabbath tour "The End" February 19. I have looked at recent footage from tour stops in Chicago and Minneapolis and am happy to report that both Ozzy and mates Terry "Geezer" Butler and Tony Iommi are in near vintage form! Sadly, drummer Bill Ward remained at impasse for reasons related to compensation, and will not be there.
Very misunderstood band. Lot of drug use (mainly and near exclusively Ozzy). The band is not and has not ever been Satanic. They are, in fact, very religious. People just assume that they are not. One of my favorites of the band was, and remains..."Children of the Grave". This is an indictment of genocide, atomic bombs and everything but Christianity! First vid is with lyrics of vintage Sabbath. Second is from Minneapolis two weeks ago.
