A little ROBIN TROWER...

Seymouro
...is worth a LOT! We learned that much, with a lot of sweat and pain.

Mark and I waited for three hours in 100 degree temperatures in the early '90's  inside "Septembers" or "The Main Act" or whatever they called the dump at 10 and Gratiot at the time to experience Robin Trower.

Just watch and listen troops...

Not the most famous Trower cut, but my personal fave...

Great tune from a great album!  Robin has always been high on my list of great guitarists.  I found this interesting LIVE recording of The Fool & Me from a 1973 concert when the song was still a 'work in progress' & had lyrics that didn't make the final cut. The recording is very good for 1973 & there's also some nice archival photos to go with it.

I loved Trower's work in Procol Harum as well...hmmm...I wonder what's out there...???

This Procol Harum classic has some nice work by Trower...

Haaaa!!!! I was going to post some Trower this week but you beat me to the punch! I've always loved that song and I always dug how you can hear the drummer's foot pedal squeaking on the bass drum (especially in the beginning).

FYI, Trower is coming to the Royal Oak Music Theater on June 20th.

Below is from the Youtube Vid of the Week archives originally posted on April 3rd 2008:

OK, this is an interesting one: Robin Trower, 1973, playing "Day of the Eagle".... BEFORE it was called "Day of the Eagle." It was originally called "Another Day Another Night" and then later changed at some point. If you know the song you'll notice the original version only contained about half of the lyrics and was a bit faster.

While I was watching this I was thinking to myself.... where else can you see this sort of stuff except for Youtube? You gotta love the internet. Who would have thought even just five years ago that we'd be watching a 1973 Robin Trower concert on our PC's?

Enjoy!
